Girls: Let's Play Hockey
08/20/2006
As a result of our wonderful volunteer
parents and players, we enjoyed a hugely successful event in Prince William.

The smiles on the new girls'
faces were precious.

All volunteers were great by
helping in every way -- from
assisting the girls dress in their
equipment, to helping on the ice, to taking the girls on and off the ice when
needed.
The
Edge had awesome participation from the SkateQuest rink, speakers, raffle
donors, Cold Rush Hockey, the Prince William Panthers, and
the entire Prince William community. A special thank you to Baltimore Youth
Hockey for the donation and transportation of all the hockey equipment.
Without the donated equipment, this event could not have taken place!

About 60 girls from 6 to 19, both experienced players and those who
took their first steps dressed as hockey players, enjoyed the time spent
together. Several new players registered for the girls programs at Prince
William.
Thank you to everyone who made this event
such a success!
